Once winter had invited herself into Seoul, life’s pace has certainly picked up. Tuesday through Sunday have been ending with uninvited surprises, whether it’s meeting new people/activists/artists, going to catch a film, having a late-night conversation at a cafe, or eating cheap and satisfying Korean grub. Lately I’ve been heartily stuffing myself with Korean independent cinema, and the latest film festival attended were NEMAF and 서울독립영화제. Thankfully, Seoul’s film circuit seems to happily never end.
Overall, I’m finding Seoul to be harsh yet beautiful and most importantly, her characters to be the most genuine individuals I have met since landing here.
With time awake spent away from the computer, so much has been recorded in the notebook, and I cannot wait to spill the little moments I have had thus far.
