In August of 2007, I landed in planet Seoul, South Korea, where I will spend a year three years! For now, I’ll throw in something that ended an an e-mail I’ve sent on September 18th, 2007:

…I remind myself why I love to travel: it’s this billion dollar feeling of being dropped off somewhere on this Earth and experiencing the strangeness of a society that is unaware of anything else going on in the world.

I’m here partly because I need to check off East Asia, Southeast Asia, and West Africa.  Ultimately, I’d like to finish off and live the life cranking speakers and shooting stars as an island girl, early-morning fledgling surfer and mango juicer. Quel crapshoot, but anything is possible, no? The countless passionate individuals I’ve been fortunate to meet in the past and present partly make up for who I am. That said, there is so much to do in so little time.
